GPMS is committed to the highest standards of safe, efficient and sustainable operation of its assets. Our Goal is to prevent accidents, injuries and occupational illness and to protect the environment. To achieve this, we will:

GPMS recognizes and accepts its quality, health, safety, security and environmental duties for providing a safe and healthy working environment (as far as is reasonably practicable) for all its employees, contractors and visitors on its premises. To that intent, GPMS shall:

  • Comply with all customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, fulfil its compliance obligations, and apply responsible standards where these laws and regulations are non-existent.
  • Commit to providing adequate working conditions with proper facilities to safeguard the health, safety and security of personnel.
  • Commit to the protection of the environment, including prevention of spillages, pollution, controlling emissions and wastes to below harmful level.
  • Provide or arrange for medical services necessary for the treatment of employee occupational illness or injuries and for the handling of medical emergencies.
  • Provide sufficient information, instruction, training and supervision to enable everyone to avoid hazards and contribute to their own safety and health, quality of operations and the environment.
  • Make, as reasonably practicable, safe arrangements for protection against any risk to health and safety of the general public or other persons that may arise as a result of GPMS activities;
  • Be prepared to respond quickly and effectively to incidents resulting from and in relation to its operations, and cooperate with other organizations and authorized government agencies.
  • Commit to ensuring suitable and sufficient assessment of risks to the health and safety of employees, contractors and visitors.
  • Ensure the consultation and participation of workers on issues of quality, health, safety, security and environment, that poses any risk to them.
  • Commit to enhancing customer satisfaction by understanding and responding to their needs and expectations in a timely manner.
  • Ensure commitment to the continual improvement of its Integrated Management System.

This Policy shall be communicated to all persons working under the control of the organization and be made available to interested parties on written request.
