Ghana Petroleum Mooring Systems Limited Company (GPMS) is a joint venture project between Mining Oil & Gas (MOGS) and Tema Oil Refinery (TOR). The GPMS facility operates under an exclusive 15 years concession agreement from the Ghanaian Government. GPMS was officially registered in September 2016 and started operation in February 2017.
The operations of GPMS involve the discharge/transfer of petroleum products and other bulk liquid cargo types from tanker vessels through the Tema Oil Jetty, Single Point Mooring and the Conventional Buoy Mooring systems.
GPMS operates on an open access basis, servicing the bulk distribution companies and Tema Oil Refineries on a throughput tariff basis. The facility handles in excess of 4.5 million metric tons of petroleum products per annum.
